The Zakat Fund Presents the First Service in the World for the Calculation and Payment of Zakat through Mobile Phones
 

Idea: 
Using mobile phones in the calculation and payment of Zakat through the asterisk (*) services, by connecting the application of calculating Zakat available on the Zakat Fund and mobile phones through the asterisk (*) services portal presented by the pioneering establishment in this field; i.e., the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat)

Objectives of the Project:
1. Spreading awareness of Zakat, via electronic means on a large scale.
2. Facilitating the calculation and payment of Zakat for Muslims throughout the whole world.
3. Reducing the costs of calls used for the calculation of Zakat.

Advantages of the Program:
1. Availability of the calculation and payment of Zakat.
2. No need for entering the price of gold (program is linked to the database where the price of gold and the nisab are update daily.)
3. Compatibility with all mobile phones, without the need for certain specifications.
4. No need for downloading any software.

The Target Group:
 Muslims throughout the world.
