The Zakat Fund Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank

The Zakat Fund signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank for the collection of Zakat funds from the bank's customers who desire to pay Zakat through the ATM network of the bank.
By virtue of this memorandum, a large number of people who are keen to fulfill the Zakat duty will be able to pay Zakat through the bank's ATMs throughout the UAE.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Tarrad Mahmoud, CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and HE Abdullah Bin Oqeidah Al-Muheiry, Secretary General of the "Zakat Fund" in the UAE, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
HE Abdullah Bin Oqeidah Al-Muheiry stated: This agreement comes in implementation of the strategy of our government for strengthening cooperation and coordination between governmental bodies and institutions, and it reflects our contribution in spreading awareness of the Zakat role in our society. In line with this strategy and in implementation of our operational and strategic cooperation with the community institutions, we have signed this memo with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as one of the leading Islamic banks in the UAE, which presents distinguished banking services in consistency with the provisions of Islamic law, in addition to its network of branches spreading throughout the UAE.
He added: Signing this agreement will serve a large number of people who are keen to fulfill the Zakat duty, to pay Zakat through the bank's ATMs throughout the UAE.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Tarrad Mahmoud, CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank stated: We signed a memorandum of understanding with the Zakat Fund for the payment of Zakat, as one of a series of community-based services, which the bank seeks to provide through its e-channels, including ATMs. This memo, which is the first product of cooperation with the Zakat Fund, is of great importance as it serves the Zakat duty prescribed by Allah for the purity and development of money and as a source of mercy and well-being for people.
