Al-Ain Municipality Honors the Zakat Fund
Source: The Zakat Fund Media, 2/6/2010 A delegation from the Department of Municipal Affairs in Al Ain Municipality, represented by Nabil Akil Abdullah Al-Marzouki, representative of the customer relationships for the northern sector, and Abdullah Ali honored His Excellency Abdullah Bin Oqiedah Al-Muheiry, Secretary-General of the Zakat Fund in recognition of the Fund's distinct and fruitful participation in the various events organized by Al-Ain Municipality during Ramadan last year. Abdullah Bin Oqiedah Al-Muheiry stated: We are keen in the Zakat Fund to participate with community institutions, particularly Al-Ain Municipality, which has major contributions in the region, and we cooperate with them to work to raise awareness in the northern area, through the distribution of nearly three thousand informative files on Zakat. Al-Muheiry added that cooperation continues between the Zakat Fund and all institutions and agencies on the state level to work to raise awareness of Zakat on the level of all the Emirates, which is one of the objectives of the Fund in serving the Zakat Duty. For his part, Nabil Al-Marzouki expressed his pleasure to cooperate with the Zakat Fund, the leading institution in the area of Zakat work, and pointed out the continuation of this cooperation because of its deep impact on the dissemination of Zakah culture among the society members. The Zakat Fund offered about three thousand copies of its informative files to Al-Ain Municipality to distribute them in the region. They contain the "They Ask about Zakat" and "The Benefits and Revenues of Zakat" booklets, in addition to publications explaining the electronic services and projects of the Fund.
