His Excellency Abdullah Bin Oqeidah Al-Muheiry, General Secretary of the Zakat Fund received a delegation from the Ministry of Government Development visiting the Fund pursuant to the memorandum of the Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs concerning reviewing the Fund’s work and achievements over the past period, as well as the difficulties and problems it faces. The delegation comprised Her Excellency Maryam Muhammad Al-Ubar, Deputy of the General Manager of the Department of Civil Service, and Mr./Awad Rizqallah Ahmad from the Institute of Administrative Development.
The Zakat Fund Assigns 3 Million Dirhams for the Projects of Muhammad Bin Rashid’s Charitable Foundation

Counselor Ibraheem Abu Malha, the Vice Chairman of the Secretariat Council of the Foundation and Abdullah Bin Oqeidah Al-Muheiry, General Secretary of the Zakat Fund signed a memorandum of understanding to materialize partnership between the Fund and the Foundation in charity work During the press conference, Abu Malha valued the role undertaken by the Zakat Fund in helping the needy and its interest in the Foundation manifested in assigning this amount. He also stated that the foundation has a list of beneficiaries, and the Zakat amounts would be distributed according to the conditions, and number of members of each family.
Abdullah Bin Oqeidah Al-Muheiry, General Secretary of the Zakat Fund stated that the Fund would continue its work and realizing its goals, and that it overcame many difficulties, but it still needs financial support. He explained that solving the financial problems would be the most vital matter in enhancing the role of the Fund in presenting the best services to the national, Arab, and international society.

Materializing the Cooperation between the Zakat Fund and the Arab Establishments and Companies

In one of its initiatives, the Fund is realizing a stride in promoting its programs and plans of awareness directed to all Muslims with a view to reviving Zakat and spreading awareness of it out of concern for applying Shari’ah. A Coordinative Meeting For Establishing Cooperation and Exchanging Experiences between the Zakat Fund and Muhammad Bin Rashid’s Charitable Foundation

In application of the strategic goals of the Zakat Fund which stipulate cooperation and coordination with authorities and institutions concerned with charitable and humanitarian work on the national and international levels, a meeting was held by the Zakat Fund and Muhammad Bin Rashid’s Charitable Foundation in the Fund’s headquarters at Abu Dhabi. This comes in the framework of materializing the Fund’s goals, enhancing social charity work, and establishing communication with said authorities and institutions. This visit by General Secretary of the Zakat Fund and a delegation from the Fund comes in response to a previous visit paid by the latter to the farmer’s headquarters at Dubai.
